English and European football giant, Manchester United collapsed against FC Copenhagen in their UEFA Champions League clash in Denmark on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils ran to 2-0 lead courtesy of two first half goals scored by Danish forward, Rasmus Hojlund but could not hold on to the lead as their fortunes changed after English forward, Marcus Rashford was sent off for stamping on an opponent.

Copenhagen responded with a composed strike from Mohamed Elyounoussi in the 45th minute before Diogo Goncalves converted a penalty in first half stoppage time to draw the home side level.

Manchester United regain the lead in the 69th minute after Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty which was awarded as a result of an handball by a Copenhagen defender.

However, the Red Devils collapsed in the final minute of the match as they conceded in the 83rd and 87th minute through strikes from Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji respectively which handed FC Copenhagen a memorable 4-3 victory.

With the result, Manchester United are rooted to the bottom of the group with only three points and will have to defeat both FC Bayern Munich and Galatasaray in their final group matches to stand any chance of qualifying for the knockout round.

Meanwhile, Arsenal continued their good start to the season with a dominant 2-0 victory over Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium. Real Madrid walloped Sporting Braga 3-0, FC Bayern Munich defeated Galatasaray 2-1, Inter Milan secured a 1-0 victory over Salzburg, PSV beat Lens 1-0 in Netherlands, Real Sociedad beat Benfica 3-1 in Spain while Napoli played a 1-1 draw with Union Berlin with Victor Osimhen still out injured.
