The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has accused leaders of western countries of rewarding islamic terror group, Hamas with the recognition of Palestine as a country.
Trump made this known while answering questions from journalists who seek his reaction on the move by leaders of UK, Canada, France and Australia to join the list of over 150 countries who have already the war torn country as a sovereign nation.
He criticized the move made by the leaders as one he will not be making because he has no intention of rewarding Hamas like the other leaders have done.
He said “Well, this could be the case that you are rewarding people that – you are rewarding Hamas if you do that. Amd I don’t think they should be rewarded.
“So, I am not in that camp to be honest. We will let you know where we are but I am not in that camp because if you do that, you really are rewarding Hamas and I am not about to do that.”
In a similar move United Kingdom’s opposition party leader, Kemi Badenoch has knocked UK’s Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer for recognizing Palestine as a state describing the move as a reward for Hamas.
She described the move by the Prime Minister as an absolutely disastrous decision which is aimed at rewarding terrorism and not to resolve the issues that led to the crisis in the country.
