Former world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua made a statement about his intention to reclaim his former position by knocking out Finland’s Robert Helenius in round seven of their heavyweight bout at the 02 Arena in London.
Anthony Joshua defeated Robert Helenius after knocking him out in the seventh round of an encounter that was originally scheduled to be against Dillian Whyte. The later was unable to compete over issues relating to use of performance enhancing drugs.
Robert Helenius came into the bout as a substitute opponent and gave a good account of himself until he was knocked out about by Anthony Joshua in the seventh round.
39 year old Helenius has a record 32 wins and four losses in his professional career fell and was motionless for a while as Anthony Joshua extended his record to 26 wins with 23 knock outs and three defeats.
Anthony Joshua will be hoping to build on this momentum as he aims to return to the top of the heavyweight division. He will be eyeing a clash with Deontay Wilder to continue his comeback.
