The Indefinite strike action embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress has been suspended after negotiations were held between the labour unions and the federal government.
The Joint National Executive Council, NEC, meeting of the NLC and TUC, have suspended the strike which was announced over the battering of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero in Imo state among other issues.
The strike was suspended following the intervention of the Federal Government through the Office of the National Security Adviser, NSA.
