Tennis legend and ATP’s current world number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic has been knocked out of the ongoing Australian Open by fifth seed Italian, Jannik Sinner.
Djokovic kissed the hard court Grand Slam tournament goodbye after losing to Sinner 3-1 in a contest largely dominated by the young Italian.
The Serbian lost the first and second sets of the contest 1-6 and 2-6 respective before giving hopes of staging a memorable comeback with a 7-6 win over the Italian in the third set.
However, the Italian completed the job with a dominant 6-3 win in the fourth set which eventually condemned Novak Djokovic to a painful loss at one of his favourite hunting ground.
The Italian has qualified for the final match of the Grand Slam tournament and will be going up against either Daniil Medvedev of Russia or Alexander Zverev of German for the prestigious title.
