Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has warned petroleum marketers in the state against hoarding Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) in the state in an attempt to hike pump price of the product in the state.
This was made known through a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Richard Olatunde on Tuesday.
He gave the warning after it became necessary because of the long queues which suddenly surfaced at filling stations across the state, notably in Akure, the state capital and other parts of the state since Monday.
Akeredolu directed all petrol stations in the state to dispense fuel in their tanks to residents of the state in order to reduce the long hours spent at fuel stations and make the queues disappear in no time.
The Governor directed the Governor’s Task Force to move around the nook and cranny of the state and deal decisively with any fuel station found hoarding the product under any pretense.
