The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested five persons for allegedly forging letterheads of the offices of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
According to a statement by the financial crimes watchdog, the persons were arrested on August 24, 2023 arrested for allegedly using forged letterheads to fraudulently obtain money from unsuspecting members of the public.
The suspects Mr. Yakubu Hamza Mohammed, Mr. Bashir Ladan, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim, Mr. Steven Anom and Mr. Mohammed Bello were paraded by the commission for the crime they committed.
They were accused of conspiring and using the letterheads to produce fake employment and recommendation letters to unsuspecting members of the public while collecting money from them.
The agency concluded that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations iare concluded.
