It was a rare display of affection, comradeship and excitement as leaders and members of “Liberation 2004”, an interest group in the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees(NULGE) Ondo State chapter celebrated a prominent member of the group, Comrade Bola Taiwo following his recent reappointment as Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties by the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at a colourful event in Akure, Ondo State capital.
Speaking at the event which was held amidst pomps and activities, the Chairman of “Liberation 2004”, Comrade Ojo Olusanya described Comrade Bola Taiwo as a source of pride and a worthy ambassador of the group.
He also commended him for his impactful contributions towards the uplift of the welfare of Local Government workers in Ondo State when he served as NULGE president of the Sunshine State.
His words “Today, we recognize and celebrate Comrade Bola Taiwo as a strong pillar amongst the pillars of Liberation group and we are delighted that God has through him on many occasions brought fulfilment of the long awaited hope of local government workers, most especially the professionals.”

Comrade Ojo Olusanya also praised the celebrant for his well-known philanthropist gestures and for not relenting in putting smiles on the faces of the needy and his disposition towards assisting people over the years which he said have contributed to his recent appointment.
He expressed appreciations to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing Comrade Bola Taiwo who is a member of the group into his cabinet.
In his remarks at the occasion, the President of the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Ondo State, Comrade Frederick Akinrinlola eulogized the virtues of Comrade Bola Taiwo who is also his immediate predecessor in office.
He described him as a father figure and mentor who is worthy of emulation, saying he has been drawing from his wealth of experience as a senior colleague in unionism and other aspects of life.
Comrade Akinrinlola promised to build on Comrade Bola Taiwo’s legacies for the benefits of members of NULGE in Ondo State.

A friend of the celebrant who is a Director in a Federal Ministry, Pastor Bolu Ayebameru spoke about the deep and inspiring relationship he has had with the Special Adviser over the years.
He described him as a dogged personality who has impacted family, friends, colleagues and community over the years and thanked the organizers of the event for the honour.
In his message at the event, Comrade Bola Taiwo, who was accompanied by his wife, Olubunmi, Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Ondo State, Comrade Tubosun Akinyemi among other dignitaries expressed a deep appreciation to the leaders and members of “Liberation 2004” for the honour saying he is always proud to be a member of the group.

He also stated that he is irrevocably committed to the ideals of the group and promise to keep the flag flying. He used the opportunity to announce donations to selected senior citizens in the group and to the families of those who loss their lives in the course of the struggle.
The highpoint of the event was the presentation of gifts to the celebrant in appreciation of the laudable contributions to the group since its formation while the incumbent President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Frederick Akinrinlola was honoured with an award as “Associate Member” of the group.
