FC Bayern Munich’s German Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin on Saturday was postponed after heavy snowfall hit Munich and the venue making it impossible for the match to be held at the Allianz Arena.
With the red-hot defending champions scheduled to clash with unimpressive Union Berlin, the Bavarians were expected to steamrolled their visitors and pick up all three points in style but nature had other plans.
However, the match had to be postponed because of the massive amount of snow dropped in Munich by nature with everywhere covered by snow. The Allianz Arena and it’s environment was inaccessible because of the snow.

Considering the safety of everyone who would be involved in the match, a decision was made to postpone the match.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s title rivals, Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund played out a 1-1 draw when they met at the Bay Arena in Leverkusen on Sunday. Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Victor Boniface scored in the 79th minute to snatch a point for his side after Julian Ryerson had handed Dortmund a 5th minute lead.
As it stands, Bayern Munich are three points behind Bayern Leverkusen on the log but with a match in hand, they can leapfrog their rival when they play their outstanding match because of their superior goal difference.
