English Premier League powerhouse, Liverpool FC have claimed their 20th domestic league title after securing a 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds now have an unassailable lead at the top of the Premier League table and will win the league title with only four rounds of matches left to play before the 2024/2025 season is over.
The home side went behind very early in the match with their former player, Dominick Solanke heading Spurs into the lead but they responded in spirited manner to thrash their visitors.
Goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis McAllister, Cody Gakpo ensured the Reds ended the first half with a 3-1 lead. Mohammed Salah added another goal in the second half before Destiny Udogie scored an own goal to end his team’s hopes of staging a comeback.
Arne Slot’s side now have 82 points from 34 matches and 15 points ahead of Arsenal FC who occupy second position on the log with 67 points from 34 matches.

With his lone goal in the 5-1 win, Mohammed Salah became the foreigner with most goals in Premier League history moving past Argentine and Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero.
