The 2023/2024 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season will commence in August 2023 with clubs competing to be named champions of Nigeria’s domestic league.
Clubs that are eligible to compete in the league have been advised to begin Club Licensing processes for the upcoming season which has been scheduled to kickstart by August 26 -27.
A memo by the IMC Head of Operations, Davidson Owumi informed the clubs to contact the NFF Licensing Managers, Mr. Nasiru Jibril and Queen Otarakpo for further information on the club licensing procedure.
Following the submission of the season’s report by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), clubs that qualified for the CAF Club competitions were invited to commence their procedures with the NFF in line with CAF Club Licensing Regulations 2022.
The League organizing body advised all eligible football clubs to complete their registration early and warned that only clubs that have completed the registration process and fully licensed would be registered for the new season.
The NPFL transfer window will be flung opened on Saturday, July 1 to allow football clubs in the division to buy and sell players. The window will be slammed shut on September 1, 2023.
