A lot will be at stake in the Nigeria professional football league (NPFL) today as the fates of Sunshine Stars of Akure, Doma United and Abia Warriors s will be decided to know who picks up the final Group B ticket to the NPFL Super Six mini tournament.

When sunshine Star’s lock horns with Dakkada FC at the Ondo State Sport Complex today, they will have one eye on the encounter between Abia Warriors and Doma United because a victory for Sunshine Stars may not be enough to qualify them for the Super six if Doma United manage to pick all three points from the other encounter.

Sunshine Stars are currently two points behind Doma United and levelled on point with Abia Warriors, they know that they must win against Dakkada before they could start thinking

For the Akure Gunners to secure a place in the super six, they must pick up all three points against Dakkada FC and hope Doma United fails to pick any point against Abia Warriors.

If Doma United wins all three points against Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars’ victory against Dakkada will count for nothing in their quest for a place in the super six

Sunshine Stars are ahead of Abia Warriors by a massive seven goals even though they are level on points and it will take a miracle and a disaster for them to pick all three points against Dakkada FC and still lose the ticket to the Abia outfit.

So, when the referees blow the whistles at both centres to commence proceedings today, it will be a battle on and off the pitch for the players, managers, fans and everyone attached to these football clubs to see who joins Lobi United and Rivers United in the Super six at the end of the day.
