The Ondo State government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) has presented official vehicles to the twenty-six members of the State House of Assembly.
The presentation of the vehicles to the lawmakers which was held held at the government house in Alagbaka, Akure on Monday had the presence of dignitaries from within the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu who represented the Governor at the ceremony, presented the vehicles to the lawmakers on behalf of the Governor.
Princess Odu stated that the vehicles were procured to ease the legislative duties of members of the 10th Assembly and noted that Governor Akeredolu has consistently emphasized the importance collaboration among all stakeholders and state actors for the overall development of the state.
She added that the administration remains fully committed to taking care of the well-being of every arm government and the people of the state in general.
The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin who attended the ceremony praised the Governor for presenting the official vehicles to the lawmakers and urged the lawmakers to continue supporting the state Governor for the overall development and progress of the state.
Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji expressed gratitude to the Governor for the gesture, describing it as a significant accomplishment. He noted that the vehicles would aid the lawmakers in fulfilling their legislative responsibilities.
