A traditional ruler in Ondo State, the Ajobu of Araromi-Obu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Aderemi Adelola (Otikirimisi 1) has announced the restriction of movement in Araromi Obu community from 11:00 in the night till 5:00 in the morning.
He made the announcement during a meeting with stakeholders in the community and explained that the decision became important because of security concerns.
The Monarch emphasized that residents, hoteliers, bartenders and traders in Araromi Obu should adhere to the directive, noting that violating the order would be met with appropriate punishments.
In a similar development, during a meeting held by Araromi Obu Youth Council, the council delivered the Monarch’s directives to its members and showed support for the order.
Also, the Chairman, Araromi Obu Development Council, Barr. Bisoye Monebi, disclosed that the restriction of movement became important due to the concerns about security in the community.
He added that security officers have been stationed across the community to ensure that the safety of lives and properties of people in the community is ensured.
