A former President of Ekimogun Youths, critical stakeholder of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and loyal ally of his Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has hinted that Ondo West local government deserves to be given the position of Deputy Governor in the next administration.
Eric Famogun, who gave this hint made it known while addressing newsmen on Friday.
He said “the rulling All Progressive Congress (APC) of the Ondo State chapter in all fairness needs to practice the religion of equality and justice by ceding the office of the Deputy Governor of the state to Ondo West to have the presence of the local government in Alagbaka.
“Warriors, they say, should have time to celebrate victory! The commitment, loyalty to party structure, and massive turnout during elections, especially the one that brought in H.E Aiyedatiwa Orimisan Lucky as candidate of our party.”
He emphasized that while Ondo central is expected to produce the next Deputy Governor, it is important for the party to give the ticket to Ondo West because the local government area not only deserve it but have worked for the party and have individuals who are capable of excelling in the position.
“It is not news that Ondo Central is to produce the Deputy Governor, and the two largest local governments in Ondo Central are Ondo West and Akure South. Akure the state capital already has more of their men in the current government using the ticket of all of us.
“As we speak, the SSG is from Akure, the Senator representing Ondo Central is from Akure amongst many others.”
He added that “What makes politics interesting is for me to congratulate you today while you congratulate me tomorrow and vice versa, not that I keep congratulating you after I have worked. The people of Ondo West local government have worked, it is time to be congratulated as we have capable, committed, diligent and loyal ones who will deliver both in governance and during elections.”
