Men of the Nigeria Police Force in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State have arrested and arraigned a commercial motorcyclist for allegedly trying to rob his passenger.
The suspect, Isaac Oyebade was arrested on Friday 22nd March 2024 while attempting to rob a passenger in the community while disguising himself as a commercial motorcyclist.
He was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force Fagun police station, Ondo Area Command. The suspect was held in their custody until his arraignment.
The DPO of the station, CSP Kayode Akinola who confirmed the arrest affirmed that he and officers under his command are ready to continue working with people in the community to rid it of criminal elements.
He added that the suspect was under interrogation and would be duly charged to when all necessary steps have been taken.
On Monday 25th March, 2024 the suspect was arraigned at the State High Court in Oka, Ondo where he will be facing the legal hurdle of proving his innocence.
Reacting to the development, Ondo youth president Comrade Kayode Folajogun thanked the police officers and command for being proactive and called on people in the community to always provide the police with useful information.
He also warned those aiding criminals for their personal gains to desist from such evil act because no one is above the law and no stone would be left unturned in making sure that Ondo is free from crimes and criminalities.
