Men of the Nigeria Police Force have reportedly fired tear gas at protesters embarking on the ongoing #endbadgovernance nationwide protest in Abuja.
According to videos and photos going viral on social media platforms, the police fired the tear gas to disperse a small group of protesters at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the protest has commenced in other states across the country with Nigerians taking to the streets in Lagos, Rivers, Kano and others states to display their discontentment with the state of the nation.
The protest have so far been largely peaceful with protesters marching with placards and other symbols like empty pots to display the level of hunger in the country and their demand for immediate government interventions.
