Controversial Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
The singer was arrested on Tuesday over his alleged refusal to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.
According to reports, Portable paid only N13 million after purchasing the vehicle, which was worth N27 million. He was alleged to have refused to pay the remaining N14 million which he led to his arrest by the Police.
The car dealer approached the police in Lagos State and reported Portable’s refusal to pay the N14 million balance and the police waded in by arresting the singer.
When contacted by Journalists, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest.
He said: “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
