Spanish and European football giant, Real Madrid have announced that their Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has suffered a knee injury that could sideline him for two months.
The club announced that Courtois suffered an injury to his right knee during a training session and may be ruled out of action for the next two months because of the nature of the injury.
Thibaut Courtois has been out of action since last summer after he suffered an ACL injury in his left knee. His place in the Real Madrid team has been taken over by both Kepa and Lunin while he was out.
The League leaders will have to do without him as they enter into the season finale where they will be fighting for both domestic and continental honours.
Real Madrid will be hoping to see off the challenge of both FC Barcelona and Girona in the La Liga and hoping to bury the ghost of last season’s humiliating defeat to Manchester City when they meet in the quarter-final of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
They may need to do all these without the stronghold guardian whose goalkeeping prowess has been very crucial for the Los Blancos over the years.
