A teenager, Bassey Edet has been crushed to death after been rammed into by a drunk driver while he was hawking goods at a motor park.
The incident which took place in Odigbo town in Odigbo local government area of Ondo state on Saturday has thrown the community into a state of shock and mourning as people struggle to accept the harsh reality of the loss.
Bassey was reportedly hawking puff-puff and buns at the motor park before his life was untimely ended by the drunk driver who rammed into him with a Toyota Picnic with plate number EPE 576DC.
According to reports from multiple sources, the driver of the vehicle who has since been arrested by men of the Nigerian police force was driving under the influence of alcohol when the unfortunate incident happened.
The remains of the deceased has been deposited at a morgue in Ore while police continue investigation into the unfortunate incident.
