The three students who were arrested for killing a Naval Officer, Samson Ayomide Akingbagbohun in Idoani, have been arraigned before an Akure Magistrates’ Court.
The accused, Sambo Ayomide, Adeleke Johnson and Shagari Francis were charge with conspiracy and murder.
The Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Nelson Akintimehin, told the court that the defendants and others at large committed the offences on June 26, 2023, at about 7:40pm at Idoani in the Ondo State Magisterial District.
Akintimehin, alleged that the accused killed Akingbagbohun by hitting him with iron rod, planks and stone on his head, chest and testicle.

The defense counsel, Tolulope Adebiyi prayed the court to adjourn the case to enable her respond to the application. She noted that her clients were just given the remand application in the open court, and asked for more time to reply the application.
