Nigeria’s Male U20 Football Team popularly known as the Flying Eagles of are through to the final of the WAFU-B U20 Championship after securing a come from behind win over the Junior Menas of Niger.
The Flying Eagles achieved this feat after a 3-1 win over their Niger Republic opponents. Enyimba FC Clinton Jephta scored a brace and substitute Ibrahim Alonge was on the score sheet to secure the priceless win.
Nigeria will now face fierce rival, Ghana in the final of the WAFU-B U20 Championship on Wednesday with both teams already securing their tickets to the next U20 AFCON.
The Flying Eagles were able to put behind them their uninspiring start to the championship after they lost to Burkina Faso in their opening match to secure a chance of becoming West Africa’s top team.
