The new commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Taiwo Jesubiyi has expressed his commitment towards ensuring that criminal elements no longer have havens in Ondo state forests.
He made this known on Monday while addressing Journalists in his first press conference as the new police chief of the sunshine state.
Jesubiyi vowed that Ondo state will be made uncomfortable for criminals as the command will review existing security strategies, coordinate with other security agencies and put in place new strategies that will ensure that criminals have no hideout in the state. “I am here with my management team to do police job with fear of God. We will review existing strategy and come up with improved one to reduce crime rate in the state.”
“with the support of the state government and cooperation of the public, we will go a long way because security is not a one man job.”
Jesubiyi revealed that he had been briefed on the security situations in the state and called for support from all stakeholders in order to deliver as planned.
“I implore all stakeholders, particularly the public and the media to work with the police to bring crime to barest minimum if at all we can’t stamp it out.”
“I have been briefed and our plan is to work in synergy with other sister agencies to comb the forest leading to Kogi and Edo states to flush out criminals that are hiding in the forests”
