Barely one season after securing promotion back to the Premier League from the English Football League (EFL) Championship, Super Eagles’ midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has been relegated with his club, Leicester City.
The Foxes confirmed their place in next season’s EFL Championship after suffering a 1-0 defeat to title-chasing Liverpool FC at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City have managed a miserable season which saw them rooted to 19th place on the Premier League table even with the change of Managers failing to help save them from relegation.
Their fate was sealed on Sunday when they lost to Liverpool courtesy of Trent Alexander-Arnold goal and they were relegated even with five more rounds of matches to be played before the season is over.
Wilfred Ndidi who went down with the Foxes the last time the club was relegated and played an important role in their immediate return to the English top-flight will now be faced with the option of staying at the club or securing a transfer away from it.
Should he decide to leave Leicester City, Wilfred Ndidi will not be without suitors as his abilities on the football pitch will be enough to encourage clubs within England and from across Europe to battle for his signature.
