The curtain has been drawn on the edition of the Franklin Sasere Invitational Football Tournament as Heritage FA, Ile-Oluji emerged champion of the annual football competition.
The Ile-Oluji outfit defeated Ekimogun United 1-0 in a keenly contested final held at the Adeyemi College of Education Sport Complex, Ondo to take home the trophy and other prizes.
The organizer of the tournament, Switzerland based Nigerian striker, Franklin Sasere expressed gratitude to everyone for the love shown and the support provided for the successful hosting of the tournament.
He said “Today is not a day for tall speeches but I am using this medium to thank you all for your unrivaled support before, during and after the competition. Not everyone is lucky to have wonderful people like you in their life. I feel loved and this I won’t take for granted.”
Sasere also revealed that plans have been set in motion for the successful hosting of the third edition of the Invitational Football Tournament.
“Trust me, plans have commenced for the next edition which promises to be loaded, bigger with juicy prize money. Until then, one love my people.”
