The Federal Government of Nigeria have declared June 12, 2023 a public holiday to commemorate the nation’s democracy day celebration.
This was contained in a statement released by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade on Friday.
Akinlade congratulated Nigerians on the special occasion and emphasized that the nation’s democracy is getting better despite the numerous challenges it has faced over the years.
She said “On this memorable occasion therefore, Nigerians and friends of Nigeria are invited to appreciate the progress that has been made, celebrate the milestones covered and look forward to a better future for the country’s democracy.”
