The People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ondo West Local government area of Ondo state have elected Honourable Femi Makinwa as the party’s candidate ahead of the February 2024 local government elections in the state.
According to a statement signed by the party’s publicity secretary in the local government area, Akinjopo Festus Femi on Tuesday 8th August, 2023 Makinwa emerged as the party’s flag bearer at the primary election held at the party Secretariat in Yaba, Ondo.
The party Chairman Honourable Ademola Adeyemi appreciated all party leaders and delegate and appeal to them to mobilize the electorates to vote for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.
He also stressed the importance of party members working with the leaders to campaign for the party’s candidates across the local government area in order to win the forth coming elections.
A former Majority Leader at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Ifedayo Akinsoyinu reminded everyone that winning the forthcoming local government elections requires collective efforts of all party members.
He added that it is important to do this in order to rescue the local government area from the hopelessness, hardship and insecurity which have taken the centre stage since APC took over the reign of power.
Party members at the venue of the election expressed delight at the emergence of Honourable Femi Makinwa and promised to work to support his ambition to become the next chairman of the local government council.
