The Ondo State House of Assembly under the leadership of Honourable Rt Olamide Oladiji has directed the Chief Judge of Ondo State to set-up a panel of inquiry to investigate allegations of gross misconduct leveled against the Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The decision was made by the legislature arm of government in the state it has officially written a letter to the the Deputy Governor over the allegation of gross misconduct and demanding a response from him.
The Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi who moved the motion noted that the decision is constitutional and in line with the Nigeria Constitution 1999 as amended.
The motion for the setting up of the panel of inquiry was seconded by the lawmaker representing Ifedore State Constituency, Tope Komolafe.
The Speaker, Rt Honourable Olamide Oladiji directed the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Olusegun Odusola to set up a Seven-Man Panel on inquiry to investigate the allegation of gross misconduct levelled against the Deputy Governor.
He said “The Chief Judge is hereby implored to appoint a panel of seven persons who are of unquestionable integrity to investigate the allegation against the Deputy Governor and report to the house.”
