The Troost-Ekong Foundation charity match witnessed massive turn out from active and retired footballers who were joined by Nigeria’s biggest celebrities from the entertainment Industry.
The charity match which took place at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on Sunday was attended by Nigeria’s biggest footballer stars, Musician, Skit makers and retired footballers from within and outside the country.
Former Super Eagles stars Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama Elderson Echiejile Carl Ikeme, and Ex-Cameroonian star, Alex Song attended the charity match which was to celebrate the official launch of the Troost-Ekong Foundation.
Current Super Eagles stars like Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa were joined by Beach soccer legend, Abu Azeez for the charity match organized by the former captain of the Super Eagles.
Nigerian rapper and “Declan Rice crooner”, Odumodublvck was joined on the pitch by popular skit maker, Sabinus and dancing sensation, Poco Lee for the charity match in honour of Troost-Ekong.
The match ended with a 3-3 scoreline in regular time. Team Orange then clinched victory via penalty shootout.
