Aiyedatiwa Seeks Confirmation Of Twelve Nominees As Ondo Commissioners

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has submitted a list of twelve nominees to the Ondo State House of Assembly for confirmation as Commissioners in the State.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, on Thursday titled “REQUEST FOR CONFIRMATION OF COMMISSIONER NOMINEES”, Governor Aiyedatiwa asked or the confirmation of the nominees as commissioners in the state.

It read “In exercise of the power conferred on me by Section 192 (1&2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), I wish to forward to your esteemed office the following Commissioner nominees for your kind consideration and confirmation of the House of Assembly.

The nominees are Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, Ayodele Akande, Alabi Johnson, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu, Idowu Ajanaku, Dr. Oluwaseun Abosede Osamaye, Dr. Tobi Loko, Olaolu Akindolire, Sunday Olajide and Omoyofunmi Segun Henry

He added that “I shall be most obliged to the Honourable House for your expeditious action on this request in the overall interest of our dear State.

“Please accept, as always, my highest regards for your esteemed self and other distinguished Members of the House.”
