The people of Okeigbo Kingdom in Ileoluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo State have ended their wait for a king to direct the affairs of the community with the emergence of a new king.
Prince Akintoye Adeoye has been elected as the Oluoke-elect following an election by kingmakers on Friday which was widely supported by community leaders and royal families.
Akintoye Adeoye who is from Aare Kugbaigbe ruling house, received nine out of fourteen votes from the Kingmakers to emerge victorious.
Expectations are high for the Oba-elect, Barrister Akintoye Adeoye who is expected to leverage on his connections as a respected lawyer and President of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) to drive development into the kingdom.
Born in January 1966, the king-elect is also expected to bring his wealth of experience to the throne and hope to Okeigbo, an agriculturally endowed community in Ileoluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo State.
