‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a strategic redeployment of several serving Permanent Secretaries across various federal ministries.

‎A statement released by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, confirmed that these redeployments officially took effect on March 5, 2026.

‎The move is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency, involves the reshuffling of eight high-ranking officials into new portfolios within the Federal Civil Service.

‎Among the key changes, Kambari Mahmud Adam moves from the Ministry of Environment to lead the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

‎Rimi Nura Abba has been redeployed from Industry, Trade, and Investment to the Ministry of Steel Development, while Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi transitions to Finance (Special Duties).

‎The shuffle sees Isokpunwu Christopher Osaruwanwem taking over the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, moving from his previous post in Steel Development.

‎Salihu Aminu Usman has been reassigned from Labour and Employment to fill the vacancy at the Ministry of Environment.

Ukaire Binyerem Chigbonwu has been moved to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, where he is expected to understudy Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam.

‎Similarly, Muhammed Muktari Yawale moves to Innovation, Science, and Technology to understudy Philip E. Ndiomu.

‎Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi has been moved from the Special Duties Office under the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) to the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy.

‎These changes are designed to align leadership expertise with the administration’s current priorities.

‎All affected officers are mandated to complete their respective handover and taking-over processes by Friday, March 13, 2026.

‎In a related development, President Tinubu has also approved the tenure renewal for three prominent Permanent Secretaries.

‎This extension serves as a vote of confidence in their previous performance and ensures stability within critical sectors of the federal government.

‎The officials granted a second and final four-year term include Kachallom Shangti Daju of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Beatrice Jedy-Agba, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, and Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe of the Ministry of Regional Development.

The renewed mandates for these three officials are set to officially commence on April 27, 2026. This extension allows the seasoned administrators to conclude ongoing reforms and projects initiated during their first terms in their respective ministries.

‎Congratulating the appointees, Didi Esther Walson-Jack urged them to see the renewal as a call to heightened dedication. She charged the permanent secretaries to deploy their vast professional expertise toward effective service delivery for the overall benefit of the Nigerian public.
