A prominent political leader and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in the Ileoluji-Okeigbo- Odigbo Federal Constituency, Mr. Ayo Olugbenga Olumoyegun, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Yilwatda following his emergence and re-election as the National Chairman of the party.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the House of Representatives aspirant described the Chairman as the kind of leader needed by the ruling party during this crucial period in the country to move it forward and ensure victory at the 2027 general elections.
He noted that the overwhelming support Yilwatda received at the recent National Convention in Abuja is a testament to his wide acceptance across the six geopolitical zones.
”The Chairman is the kind of leader needed by our party during this crucial period in our country. The overwhelming support he received at the recent National Convention in Abuja is a testament to his wide acceptance across the six geopolitical zones.
Olumoyegun lauded the National Chairman’s intellectual depth and administrative acumen, which he noted have been instrumental in stabilizing the party.
”Under his leadership as party chairman, our party has found its backbone. His total commitment to President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda has turned us into a disciplined and united party that is focused on taking Nigeria to greater heights.
”Professor Yilwatda is leading by example. By keeping his doors open always and staying true to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision, he has brought our party together and made us stronger and more disciplined than ever before.
”His leadership has been the catalyst for our party to grow and become better. By empowering local structures and engaging our people at the grassroots, our national leadership is building a formidable party for everyone”
He applauded the Chairman for ensuring that internal democracy remains the bedrock of the party, thereby preventing the friction that often characterizes primary elections and congresses in the past from affecting the just-concluded one.
”I applaud the Chairman for ensuring that internal democracy remains the bedrock of our great party. His commitment to maintaining this high standard is a major reason the usual friction that plagues other parties’ primaries and congresses was absent from our own.
”Our chairman has taken internal democracy to a respectable level and that is a major reason many opposition leaders and their supporters are joining us today. They want to enjoy this kind of democracy too and that is why we are receiving decampees from opposition parties daily.”
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the Odigbo-born politician expressed absolute confidence that the APC would have a landslide victory across the country.
Olumoyegun pledged his total support to the party and promised to continue working assiduously to ensure that the party remains dominant in Ondo State as the nation approaches the next election cycle.
He urged all party members in the Ileoluji/Okeigbo – Odigbo Federal Constituency and Ondo State as a whole to remain steadfast and united behind the national leadership emphasizing that a united party is essential to sustain the developmental strides of the federal government across Nigeria.
