Ondo Remains Resolute in Ensuring Women Development – Osamaye

… Commends Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his administration’s commitment to women empowerment, Social Development

The Ondo State Government says its commitment to women empowerment remains unwavering as women are the pillars of societal development.

Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Seun Bosede Osamaye while receiving a team of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale Up Project on a Just in Time Mision to Ondo State, applauded the World Bank project and the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to the empowerment of women and to social development.

Dr Osamaye pointed out areas of collaboration and adjustments towards enhancing the success of the project.

While welcoming members of the team on behalf of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Commissioner assured them of the full support of the Ondo State Government to the success of their visit and the project.

Leader of the team, a Senior Technical Adviser with the World Bank, Mr. Temitope Ayodele, explained the urgency of the task of ensuring that women in Ondo State benefit more from the project.

According to him, “the team is not in Ondo State to teach the team what to do but to assist the existing structure towards accelerating the set goals within the set time frame.”

He lauded the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in embracing the empowerment initiative and called for more support towards advancing the course of the scheme.

The team leader enlisted the support of the Ondo State Government to fast-track the successful implementation of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale Up Project in the State.

Members of the Just in Time Team from the World Bank include the Senior Technical Adviser, Mr. Temitope Ayodele, the Monitoring anf Evaluation Advisor at the Federal Project Coordinating Unit, FPCU, Mr. Jeph Oluwagbemiga and the Security Advisor at the Federal Project Coordinating Unit, FPCU, Mr Olajide Afolabi as well another team from the Ogun State Coordinating Unit of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale Up Project, Asoro Opeoluwa, Musibau Muyideen, James Olabiran, Adeyemi Adebisi, and Shobowale Omoyemi.
