Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON has proceeded on a 21-day medical leave and transmitted power to his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The transmission of power was confirmed by the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Olamide Oladiji who also confirmed that the Governor has proceeded on a medical leave.
In a letter sent to the legislature and addressed to the speaker, Governor Akeredolu confirmed that he had proceeded on medical leave abroad starting from the 7th of June, 2023 to the 6th of July, 2023.
The Deputy Governor, Honourable Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been directed to take over the control of the affairs of the state as acting Governor pending the return of the Governor.
