Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed that governing Nigeria is not as difficult as many think it is.

He emphasized that what the country truly needs is honest and purposeful leadership while speaking at a public engagement.

Obasanjo noted that Nigeria is endowed with abundant human and natural resources capable of making it a prosperous nation but the lack of leaders with sincerity and integrity has continued to hinder the country’s progress.

“Nigeria is easy to govern, but it requires leaders who are honest, transparent, and purposeful in their commitment to serve the people.”

He urged both current and aspiring leaders to put national interest above personal gain, stressing that genuine patriotism and accountability are important for Nigeria to experience true growth and development.
