The Nigeria Senate have announced the removal of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from her role as Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organizations.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi Central under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been involved in series of incidents since her legal tussle with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
The decision, which came from Senate President Godswill Akpabio, adds to a series of changes affecting the lawmaker’s positions within the Senate.
Earlier in February, she was also removed from her former role as Chair of the Senate Committee on Local Content and reassigned to the Diaspora and NGOs committee.
With this latest development, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan no longer leads any committee in the National Assembly as she has been replaced Senator Aniekan Bassey, who represents Akwa Ibom North East.
